Stories that wait for your decision
Thelema is an independent mobile game studio from England. We make story-led Android games in which the player decides what a character says, keeps or gives away, and then lives with the consequences.
Our scenes are short enough to finish on a bus journey and our branches are written so that a second playthrough feels like a different evening.
Writing comes first
Every Thelema project starts as a script. Before any screen exists, the writer maps who wants what, which secrets can surface and where a single line of dialogue can turn a friendship.
Only when the script holds together on paper does the team decide how it should look and sound on a phone.
Choices that are remembered
A decision in chapter one should still matter in chapter five. Thelema tracks those choices quietly and pays them off later, so careful readers are rewarded and nobody is punished for an honest guess.
Readable on a small screen
Text size, line length and contrast are tested on modest Android phones as well as new ones. Saved progress stays on the device, so stopping in the middle of a scene never costs a player their place.
Edited like a book
Every Thelema chapter is read aloud before release. Clumsy rhythm, repeated words and lines that give away a later twist are rewritten, because the prose is what players spend most of their time with.
